Sydney FC and MBF helping kids get up & active
A new relationship between MBF, one of Australia's leading health insurers, and Sydney FC will deliver coaching clinics and training sessions to encourage NSW children to become active through participation in sport.
The MBF and Sydney FC Community Football program will involve Sydney FC players and coaches in visits to junior football teams, training sessions in primary schools and running multi-day coaching clinics during school holidays.
Mark Engel, Director of Marketing at Bupa Australia, which operates as MBF, HBA and Mutual Community, said the program would build upon MBF's existing support for a range of programs designed to get kids up and active.
"This program is all about creating opportunities for children to increase their activity levels, develop new skills, boost their confidence and have fun playing football," he said.
"The Sydney FC partnership builds upon MBF's existing suite of active kids programs, which include the 'MBF HighMarks' program with the Hawthorn Football Club, the MBF Forward Pack Program with the Western Force and the MBF Foundation KidFit triathalons."
Following the recent merger between MBF and Bupa Australia, the new business has decided to promote its partnership with Sydney FC under the MBF banner. The program was formerly supported by Bupa's HBA brand.
The change is consistent with Bupa Australia's commitment to promote its strongest brand in each State. The majority of HBA's customers are located in Victoria and South Australia, whilst MBF is one of the leading private health insurers in Queensland, NSW, Tasmania and the Northern Territory.
Now in its second year, the partnership with Sydney FC has already delivered some fantastic outcomes for young people in NSW, and will continue to do so under the MBF banner.
